Mission
Statement
We are resolved as an organization to assist
peers/people (which includes adults, children and
families) in achieving their own dreams and to live
their lives as they so desire.

We believe and are resolved to reducing stigma and
helping everyone that has been dis-empowered by the
system to help them and teach them the skills they need
to move forward with their lives.

Dreamweavers is based on two concepts by blending the
best of what "peers" have to offer with the best of what
"providers" have to offer with
A White Paper and
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

In the merging of these two concepts, Dreamweavers
strives to offer the best of both worlds to those that
need and want the help and the guidance to remedy their
current situations, no matter what those situations might
be.

We at Dreamweavers Peer Support also have the
convictions that the help that is wanted is just
that...wanted. We do not believe nor do we push people
to get help in any way, whether it be medication, therapy
or any combination thereof. It is our theory that only
those people that WANT to get better...really CAN get
better.

In essence, what we are striving for is "leveling the
playing field between people and providers." What this
means is that we want to make it so that people can talk
freely to providers and the providers, in return, can
speak to the people in a language that the people can
understand so that they may know what is going on and
what is needed of them to better their lives.
